Today we had a MAGMA outing. And you know what? Most of them are LATE. Well, I guess the Jurong RCY LATE genes flows through MAGMA as well. But it's okay. I've got used to the LATE gene.
Most of the time we were playing the arcade. You know what? The games there is so expensive. Datona is like one dollar. That is like the price 10 years ago. Me and Chris challenged in the Para Para Revolution, which is quite fun, but I can't seem to reach for the corner sensors. Anyway, he won me after two tries. Great job. We are both noobs, that's for sure. Then came the Datona racing and the KOF. Challenged Qian Ni in many games like hand hockey, the colourful pressing game (which has so many imitations I just don't know which is the real one) as well as the Gem Fighter, which I narrowly lost. I lost all of the matches, which brought my pride to a new low.
The steamboat was not really very filling but somehow the waiting makes you full. Anyway I did nto eat any prawns cause they were alive when they were placed into the boiling water. They were like kicking and if they can speak they must be screaming. I don't know. I did consume one of them though. So no sympathy points for me. The other reason is because I'm to scared to pick up the live prawn. Not pick, no eat. Too bad. Anyway, they do serve crabs here but you must clean yourself. As in you must clear the gills and other uneatables or disgutees yourself. So no crab eaten. We eat for a whooping more than 2 hours! Then I started to say my dirty jokes and Qian Ni said hers and we started saying lame jokes all around! Always glad to spread the spirit of JSS lameness to everyone!
Then came a short arcade session and it was back to home! At 9.30. I don't know. I find that a bit too early, even though we have like school tomorrow but well its an outing and it has to be complete.
Anyway, poor Rebecca did not have a chance to fly her kite. The reason being it rained in the afternoon, and after that came a team of female soccer players. Thus she did not manage to fly it. I hope that one day I can finally see a kite fly, or maybe fly a kite myself.
This outing to some of them seems... boring. Personally I find it not true, but to some of them it's just too bad. I mean they are not those 'arcadians' like most of us. We may have unwittingly ostracized them. Sorry anyways.
And Rebecca... she's more and more comfortable with us now. Well as we all know when such things happen you act with less thought towards others. Well, no complaints here. If you want to be friends with someone you take the whole package, bad or otherwise.
Today I realised a truth: not all people is what you think they are, and they may not like you but that does not mean they need to voice it out. When you want to make a friend, and you find that he or she has a part of her that you hate about. What do you do? Do you just become acquintances or remain friends? On one end you don't want to be lonely and on the other hand you just cannot stand that one or three painful bad habits of him or her. I guess when one is lonely one can compromise for companionship. Perhaps the thought of the person changing for the better remains the main motivation for the friendship, but of course facts rarely present themselves that way. Being yourself is the cliche phrase for many a problems ranging from love to making friends. But frankly speaking that's bullshit. For most of us we are not perfect people. We have this damn annoying flaw that we just do not want people to know about. For me, that's leaving the group without telling them and saying the wrong things at the wrong time. If we show this out at first we are 70% of not making that friend. But if we have become better friends and such habits surfaces well that's another matter all by itself. The principles of friendship involves a perfection masquarade before the unveiling.
What am I to ask for perfect friends when I myself is not perfect? Even though our personalities might not match, who knows? Perhaps one day the mysterious hands of Fate could forge a undying friendship between the two. Perhaps it will end up with failure. But one thing is for certain: we wouldn't know until we try.
Perhaps that is the first rule of friendship: Don't stereotype. Try first and judge later.
Second rule will be: Think short term not long term. (This applys to friendship only. Do this for relationships and you are doomed.) Thinking too much would mean contributing little. If you are doing little for the friendship then why does the latter need to contribute? It must be mutual.
I must say I like my private space. It allows me to think about matters and let my mind stay fresh. Its also a time for reflection. A time for inner peace. Maybe this is the reason why I subconsciously set mental limits not to contribute alot of feelings to friendships. I feel that if I do contribute too much feelings I might end up hurting myself when the friend not longer become my friend due to some incident of otherwise. Understanding other people and what they think is hard. I have barely scratched the surface. Perhaps it is this... infatuation of human thoughts that is crippling me.
Trust me. Not many people can stand my true self. I am a bane to other people and friends and foes alike. I have improved much over the years and I hope I will be a better friendlier person in times to come.
Cheers.
