Okay, Marx is really cool and everything but I advice you NOT to read his articles unless you are REALLY interested in him and political science. if not it'll bore your ass to death.

Anyways someone ask me what GLs is. Well it is a CCA. What is a CCA? It is short form for Compulsary Curricular Activities, though its not so compulsary in any polys anymore (of course, unless you are like me, a great mind who wishes to go to a university... And damn Singapore has so many abbreviations don't Her?)
The LSCT (Life Science and Chemical Technology) Society serves to help and organise activities for the people of LSCT. LSCT is a school in Ngee Ann Poly. People from the society are called GLs. GLs is short form for Group Leader.
As a GLs, your only existence for living is to lead the freshies (those 1 year lesser then you) in the FOC (Freshman Orientation Camp) every May.
So, we train every Wednesday for 1 year for this fateful 3 days known as the FOC (you can pronouce it as fock, but beware of your mom: you might get slapped.)
In this 3 days, we will get oily, muddy and filthy and will have only 1 min of sleep.
Yup. All for the name of fun.
If we are not busy organising the camp, we are actually organising activites like Staff & Students Day, Dinner and Dance (something like prom night. And trust me, most Singapore secondary schools or primary schools has no prom night. How can a student's life be complete without prom night? But hey, I guess it doesn't affect me anyways, considering how I look.)
And what do we get (Sorry, I'm just so realistic)? CCA points, lots of friends, and lots of fun.
The 3 main ingredients of GLs: Kikapo (a kind of drink), Water, Planta (the cheapest for the quality butter you can ever find in this side of the equator). These are the three main ingredients you'll see in every GL training. Their mission (other then Kikapo, whose bottles are used to hold drinking water for us) is to make us as filthy and crappy as possible, so as to have fun.
You crazy bastards out there are all sadists. In your mind, you want to get downright filthy and crappy to fuck. You get the most fun when you are filthy. You enjoy being swiney. Yup.
Humans. Blah.

Anyway Dr Chang (Or, as I like to know her as Susila), our LSCT Director had a meeting with our group today> It was un and she gave us some advice on worklife. ATTITUDE guys, that's what sells! To quote from her:

We have this employer who says 'I don't want your top student if they have bad attitude. Instead, send your poor performing students that has good attitude instead

So guys, be of good attitude man.
And damn after the session was tea snacks complimentry for us. The cream puffs look like soggy soggy but tastes so nice. So were the tuna sandwich and brownies. Yum yum! Heaven!
