Steel Child

Quite a few things happened this month. But I have yet felt the urge to blog about them.

I realised I'm very defensive about the works that I've done. I hate it when people ignore my suggestions, or change my script, cause I believe my work is always the best. Period. You can see the results. Other people who saw the film with my script laugh their way through (in joy). Why? Because of my good scripting. I know I am good. I know when my ideas work, or when they don't work. Don't have a sudden awakening of 'oh Alex is right' kind of thing and waste valuable things like my enthusiasm. It gets me really pissed off when I ask for some parts of the scripts to be changed and they don't agree and in the end those parts got changed into the way I wanted it to due to comments from the others.

Yes, I am a sucker (mind my language) for praise and credit. I believe that my work, if it is good, should be rewarded, with a pat, a praise or a thank you. I hate it when I recieve none of that, when people do not recognise my contributions. I am slowly coming to terms with this ill habit of mine.

I don't know whether I want to buy a pair of inline skates. You see, its expensive: The best one which I last me for a long, long time osts $350 something. And the commitment... I figure I'll never skate if my brother don't skate (my bro, by the way, is a skate instructor.). Seeing my bro and his friends do tricks with the skates makes my heart 'itch', so to speak. But I know what factors I need to consider before I really buy it. I am no longer the kid who wants every single thing my brother has. And for now, Fate says in Her Way that I should not buy it. Thus, I'll shelf the idea for awhile.

Romance is said to be good for the Dragon this year. I see that it is true. However, Fate has not given me clear signs yet, and thus I dare not act. I have come to understand only love that Fate blesses can come to fruit. Perhaps I'll observe a little longer.

The Skate Scooter which I've bought is really not a good form of transportation. It'll make a better fitness equipment. Using it is like doing horse stance (ma pu, in chinese) on wheels. And you don't move really far. Sometimes it can get very painful and tiring. However, thanks to Alveola (I named my Skate Scooter), my stamina has increased and I'm much more stronger now. I think its a matter of stamina and balance. I believe I'm getting there.

What will my Secondary School friends become in 5 years time, I wonder? Will some of them get married? Will some come to terms with their sexuality? Will some be big bosses or road sweepers? The future is unseen by all. That is what that makes life so worth living for: The enticipation of the future.

Some people feel 'why don't good things happen to me?'
Thing about this:
Imagine Fate, the One that makes the future for us all, weaving a cloth that is to be our future. To weave a cloth you need yarn. A yarn comes to Fate when you have more interactions with the things around you. The more yarn there are, the more colourful your cloth is, and naturally the more brighter the future is. However, if you reamin cooped up in your home, doing nothing constructive all day, Fate will get less yarn for your future, and what may remain is a dark, monotonous cloth.
Morals: Go and join more events! Make more friends! Interact more with the world! Undoubtedly the tapestry of your future might be tainted by a wrong coloured yarn or two, but ultimately the one who have the more yarn has the best patterns.

Sure, I've some torn yarn and loose ends here and there, but I'm sure my future is undoubtedly colourful.
