Pintar el Futaro

That, my friends, is the tagline for the Soka Youth Concert 2007: The world is yours to change. Pintar el futuro means paint the future I think. The concert really rocks and the videos on global issues like pessimism, poverty and saving the Earth are very good. And I love the bands! Some are really professional, especially the last band (Orange Cove I think) who sank Thunderbirds and Year 3000 really touched my heart because it was so good (though the sound system was abit cock up at first).

Then along with 2 of Jeff's Soka friends and more Soka peeps, I went to Ang Mo Kio to go support Jeff (who was not with us for the concert for the belowmentioned) for his performance at Ang Mo Kio Hub. Really nice NRA dancing there.

I really love making new friends. I don't talk to people easily. It is Fate's will that all went so well today. Though I did get a bit out of air as I feel my throat squeezing the air out of me in the auditorium... perhaps the energy was too much or I'm off familiar grounds and nature for too long... Nonetheless everyone is so enthusiastic there and its cool I think!

Nonetheless, as Nature always shows, Diversity is king! Even if one religion is good and everything, we must embrace all religion and allow all to flourish so that when the time comes, people can choose the right path to the Niche that they are born for.

In nature, a single big flower will get eaten by pests easily. So how will the fruits be formed when its not fertilised? But, if we make small flowers instead, and group together to form an inflorescence, then we'll send a collective signal, one bigger than the single big flower! And if pests eat 1 or 2 flowers, the inflorescence still stands! And we can produce more fruits! That is the same for religions. Diversity means more flowers, which will in turn allow willing pollen to come and become beautiful fruits of happiness. Also, its boring to see a single field of the same flowers, isn't it? A field filled with millions of colours will be breathtaking and more biodiversified to survive and be happy!

The web of life connects all together. Does that mean we are all brothers and sisters? Is the heart the brother of the lungs? Are legs the brother of arms? Is the white blood cells the brother of the red blood cells? Perhaps. So does it mean that I should be friends with everyone?

Not quite. There are those who are of different paths relative to mine. The paths they walk on may be damaging to the path that I am using. A butcher holds no love for the vegetarian. The police hold no love for the thief. I maybe a cell of the leg, yet in the area of hands. That will, of course, cause conflict amongst us and cause disharmony to the web. What I must do is to stop associating with these cells and be with similar cells, cells of the same function. Only then can I prosper and grow well. Though we are of seperate interests, in the end, we are of the same goal: the betterment of the world. Thus, we must respect those of other paths as well, no matter how off they are from our own personal path.

Meditate on the this. Meditate on the issue of how your enemies should be faced in the face of the Web. How conflicting these thoughts are. And make your path to Niche even more solid then before.

Cheers.
