POP Lo!!!

I have POPed!!! They call it GP now, but still POP still sounded much better.

Army has helped me in many ways. It has trained me up physically. Though I still can't do 6 pull ups, now I can manage 2. My mind is now more tolerant of insolent creatures and spoiled brats. My patience has increased as well. I'm sure all these will be of great use to me in my future career.
I have conquered my fear of both the dark (though it now frustrates me, since it increases the chance of me losing things) as well as my fear of insects. I have now developed a strong fear of dying, since I believe dying in the army is a sad, unglorified way to perish.

The pain I suffered during the trainings, route marches, and field camps has sharpened my resolve... to be back to civilisation in one piece, body and spirit. The pain is a double edged sword... it makes you yearn for normality, for uniformity. When you are broken by the pain, you are reduced to trained soldiers with the mentality of teenagers. To be great we must raise above the pain. And the suffering. Not liking the pain, but using it to propel you. This is the pain which one must suffer before one join the ranks of the great ones.

I pray for a good posting, one that will challenge me and leave my spirit and flesh pure, really for action.
