Preparation for KYO 2009

This week gonna have like 9 days off from camp due to the NIE and CJC visit and my super accumulated offs from HM, cross country, and the likes. To make full use of the long period of civilian time, as well as my upcoming birthday at on the 30th, I believe it is Fate's message that it is time for me to have another KYO.

Lets look back at the last few KYOs I've experienced.

2004 KYO: ECP Meditation Trip.
2005 KYO: Sentosa
2006 KYO: Tree Top Walk @ macritchie
2007 KYO: NOooo I misses the KYO for that year... The closest to a KYO I've done for that year was the Singapore Design Festival road trip. That was a whole tiring whole day roaming all over Dhoby Ghaut (I bet you can't spell it in your first try) as a big part of the festival exhibits are over there. Not to mention I found the HQ of Hobachaga. I was contemplating then to go for a KYO for the year but unfortunately I was too busy.
2008 KYO: Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve.

Three things to note about KYOs:
1. Don't expect alot of preaching. Noone's gonna talk to you to make you realise who you really are. Fate herself will present the events and sounds and sights that will better your understanding of yourself.

2. It's going to rain. And you'll get wet, unless you wear poncho and wellington's boots. Not even umbrella can save you. For the past 4 KYO's it has been raining. No I did not purposely choose a rainy day for KYO. It's just Fate's Will. The one at Sungei Buloh is the worst. I've brought an umbrella (obviously after seeing The Pattern) but still I got drenched like duck. And no, you cannot escape and get to shelter. You'll have to experience the full blast of whatever Fate throws at you, even if it means being in heavy downpour.

3. You'll walk. Alot. You'll walk so much you'll laugh at route marches. Of course I'm not serious. But you'll walk alot.

I was thinking 2009 to be at the Southern Ridges. Another nature filled place full of vibrant energy. It'll be a great place to find out about oneself.

Time for a wish.
